Purchased in 1970 by Aime Guibert, the 30-hectare Mas de Daumas Gassac is situated just outside the the village of Aniane, some 15 miles north west of Montpellier. It was only when the renowned oenologist, Henri Enjalbert, visited the Guiberts that many similarities between the soils of the estate and those of certain great estates of the Medoc were identified. This, combined with the estate's unique micro-climate, persuaded M.Guibert to begin planting vines in 1971, the first wines being released in 1978. Made according to organic principles, the wines are now 'cult classics'. This sparkling rose is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon.

A pale cherry in colour. On the nose aromas of blueberries and raspberries with a hint of violets. Delicate on the palate showing great finesse and elegance with further summer red fruit flavours. This is a very balanced wine with a soft yet lengthy finish making it a perfect summer aperitif or a great alternative to rose champagne. Also good with lighter fruit desserts. Try with a bowl of strawberries!
