Fourth and fifth generation vignerons, Patrick and Nicolas Laugere took over the estate from their uncle, Marcel, in 1987. In addition to the vineyards they also inherited the cadole, or stone vigneron shelter, which overlooks the vineyards. This particular shelter is situated on top of an underground river, and a pit dug into the ground inside the shelter provides a constant source of water for the vine during times of drought. This expressive Chardonnay comes from 30-year old vines grown on three south-east-facing plots situated around the village of Chardonnay where the farm is based. All is organic on the estate and the grapes are manually harvested before fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine is unoaked and pairs particularly well with seafood dishes.

A light straw in colour. On the nose, aromas of ripe apples and pears with notes of mimosa. On the palate, fresh and crisp with a pronounced limestone minerality, the calling card of the region's unique terroir. Great with smoked salmon crostini, blue cheese-stuffed olives or mini courgette and goat's cheese tarts.
