Laurent Perrier was founded in 1812 by Alphonse Pierlot who, upon his death, left the estate to his cellar master Eugene Laurent who ran it with his wife Mathilde Perrier. In 1939 the company was sold to Mary-Louise Lanson de Nonancourt and the de Nonancourt family retain a controlling interest in the company to this day. Other brands within the Laurent Perrier company include Delamotte and Salon champagne. This fresh and crisp champagne is made predominantly from the Chardonnay grape from 55 crus or villages and is left on its lees for 3 years. Only a light dosage of sugar is used, producing a blanced and light wine. Great aperitif!

A delicate golden in colour with a fine and persistent mousse. On the nose scents of citrus fruits and white flowers. A complex and elegant palate with a crisp finish. Great with salmon served with baby spinach and sorrel, braised lobster tails in a basil jus or a chunk of Emmental cheese.
