The house was founded in 1966 by Jean-Paul Deville and is situated in the centre of the village of Verzy, just 20km south east of the Champagne capital, Reims. Jean-Paul and his daughter Marie-Alice run the estate producing a range of excellent Champagnes. Their excellent-value Blanc de Blancs is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes, giving up a dry and fresh fizz that spends 5 years in bottle before release. A vibrant aperitif!
A pale gold in the glass. On the nose, notes of citrus and exotic fruits. On the palate, precise and clean yet round and rich with further citrus fruit flavours. Great acidity leading to a lingering finish. Try with an avocado and asparagus salad, linguine, clams and fennel or sole goujons.
