Free Run Juice is a loose collective of fiercely determined biodynamic and natural wine makers based in the Yarra Valley in South Australia. The wines have minimal intervention, are small-batch, and very much artisanal with juice sourced from various vineyard sites in and around the Yarra, including the renowned Thousand Candles estate, home to some of the region's finest Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Shiraz grapes. This delightful Shiraz is unoaked and makes for a fresh and light red.
A dark plum in colour. On the nose, scents of dried red fruits and vanilla with hints of cinnamon. On the palate, medium bodied and juicy with further plummy notes leading to a spicy finish. The pronounced acidity makes for a great food wine. Try with grilled Mediterranean vegetables, lamb ragout with olives and peppers or lamb Shawarma.
