Free Run Juice is a loose collective of fiercely determined biodynamic and natural wine makers based in the Yarra Valley in South Australia and overseen by Natural Wine guru, Patrick Sullivan, a young Yarra Valley winegrower who initially worked in an abattoir after finishing high school. He moved to London when he was 19 and gained employment in the wine room at Selfridges before deciding to study winemaking back in Australia. Patrick's wines have minimal intervention, are small-batch, and very much artisanal with juice sourced from various vineyard sites in and around the Yarra, including the renowned Thousand Candles estate, home to some of the region's finest Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Shiraz grapes. This is a juicy Chardonnay is designed for early drinking and pairs well with rich seafood dishes.
A clear pale golden in the glass. Aromas of citrus fruits, peach and yellow apple. On the palate, fresh and crisp with a forward acidity and concentrated notes of pears and kiwi fruit. Try with poached salmon, crab cakes or butternut squash ravioli.
