Osmoz gin is made at Chateau Montifaud in the heart of the Cognac region and is owned by the Vallet family who have been making Cognac and Pineau des Charentes for 6 generations. They have recently enlarged their holdings with the purchase of 3 estates in Petite Champagne totalling 30 hectares, so that they now have 120 hectares in all. Osmoz gin is the creation of current proprietor, Laurent Vallet and is made from distilled Ugni Blanc grapes. The botanicals include Juniper, Coriander, Linden, Apple, Liquorice, Apricot, Almonds, Saffron, Clove, Bitter Orange, Cucumber and Lime, giving up a rich, botanically-led yet subtle gin.
On the nose, notes of liquorice, apricot and coriander. On the palate, resinous and floral with notes of juniper and citrus. The finish is lingering and spicy. Garnish with lime, basil and cucumber.
