The estate is set in the village of Saint-Aubin and covers 17 hectares spread over 4 villages: Saint-Aubin, Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet and Aloxe-Corton. The business is run by Denis and Didier Larue along with their sons, Bruno and Vivien and their (mainly old) vines are grown on clay and limestone soils. All is organic on the farm and the grapes are hand harvested. Puligny Trezin comes from a single 1.27 hectare, east-facing vineyard set at an altitude of 360m above the village of Blagny. It is aged in oak barrels for 10 months and is mineral and fresh with subtle tannins.
A bright lemon yellow in colour. Tropical fruit aromas mingle with notes of white flowers. On the palate, floral and silky smooth with an excellent acidity leading to a persistent finish. Try with Dover Sole Meuniere, seared scallops with a cauliflower puree or grilled pork chops with spiced pears.
