This dry and fresh cider comes from Cidrerie Viard, based at Gueron, 2 miles from Bayeux in Normandy. The company was founded in 1932 and produces an excellent range of ciders including this organic cider made with a little pear juice to give a slightly 'bitter-sweet' edge. Great on its own. Otherwise, cider can be used in place of white wine. Try with pork belly, Gloucester Old Spot sausages or a chunk of ripe cheddar.
