Chateau Plaisance is to be found at Vacquiers on the left bank of the Tarn river in the Cotes du Frontonnais of southwest France. The estate is run along organic lines by father and son team Louis and Marc Penavayre who have seen their holdings grow from 7 to 16 hectares since they began bottling their own wines in 1985 from vineyards situated at the highest point of the Tarn.'Grain de Folie' ('a touch of madness') is a judicious blend of 70% Negrette (Fronton's 'black grape') and 30% Gamay. Soft and round, this pairs excellently with duck or game dishes.

A deep plum in colour. On the nose, aromas of fig, liquorice and dried red black berries. On the palate, silky and ripe with notes of coconut and raspberry leading to a very smooth finish. Great with confit of duck, rack of lamb en croute or oven baked Vacharin Mont d'Or cheese.
