Celler Credo is part of the Recaredo group founded by Cavas Recaredo in 1924 and is situated in the Alt Penedes region of north east Spain near to Barcelona. There are 8 hectares in total, all farmed biodynamically. The estate specialises in the Xarel.O grape, a native to Catalonia and normally used as one of the three varietals in Cava and 'Miranius' is named after a local fox that invades the vineyards to gorge on the grapes. It is a blend of 86% Xarel.O and 14% Macabeu from very low yields and is unoaked. Lively and refreshing, its naturally vibrant acidity makes this a great food wine.
A clear pale gold in the glass. Complex scents of lime, pear and orange flower. On the palate, bright and refreshing with a vibrant acidity leading to a lengthy finish. Try with fried squid with alioli, sea bass in a salsa verde or grilled mussels stuffed with garlic, anchovies and parsley.
