This excellent value Pinot Grigio rosato is made in the hills of the Veneto and bottled in the town of Fossalta di Piave, 30 miles to the north of Venice. It is made by the Casa Vinicola Botter company who are situated in the town and who have been making wine there since 1928. The business is currently headed by Arnaldo Botter, 3rd generation winemaker, and in addition to the wines of Veneto, the company also makes wine in Piedmont and Tuscany. This particular Pinot Grigio rosato is a blend of 80% Garganega and 20% Pinot Grigio and makes for the perfect summer aperitif.
A delightful salmon pink in colour. On the nose fresh aromas of citrus fruits and summer red berries. On the palate, dry and refreshing with excellent acidity leading to a crisp finish. Try with mussel linguine with cherry tomatoes and chilli, panzanella (Tuscan bread salad) or grilled tuna with a green salsa.
