Another excellent cooperative where the roots of tradition are nourished by a progressive vinicultural outlook. The winery is located in the foothills of the Majella Massif facing the Adriatic coast of the 'Trabocchi' and was established in 1960. This 100% Montepulciano is fermented in state-of-the-art stainless steel tanks which accentuate the natural fruit flavours.
A cherry-red in colour. The nose displays savoury aromas of liquorice, black fruits and tobacco leaf. The palate is concentrated with fine, silky tannins and rich flavours of cherry and blackcurrant. The forward acidity leads to a lingering finish. Try with a chicken and cannellini bean stew with rocket, Tuscan bean soup with prosciutto or stuffed aubergines with ruby chard and spinach salad.
