Caleo Wines are made by the highly respected Casa Vinicola Botter Cooperative situated in southwest Sicily. This is 100% Inzolia (Sicily's indigenous white grape) and is fermented at low temperature in stainless steel tanks, thereby ensuring a crisp and fresh white that pairs spectacularly well with seafood.
A pale straw-yellow in the glass. Aromas of citrus, orange blossom and sweet spices. The palate is firm and rounded with notes of melon and green apples. The acidity is snappy and the finish bright with nutty tones making for a great food wine. Good with skate wing, sardines stuffed with pine nuts, bread and basil or Bellini's masterpiece - Pasta alla Norma.
