This refreshing white comes from an excellent cooperative based in the village of Servian near Beziers in the southern Languedoc and is a great example of the value-for-money wines being made in the area today. 'Terre du Sud' translates into 'soil of the south' and the wine is classified under the Vin de Pays de Mediterranee - a large wine making region founded in 1999 and stretching from the Ardeche to Corsica. This particular white wine is a combination of 60% Grenache Blanc and 20% each of Sauvignon Blanc and Ugni Blanc.
A pale straw in colour. On the nose scents of dried herbs, white flowers and green olives with a touch of citrus to bring up the rear. On the palate fresh and crisp with citrus flavours and a refreshing finish of green apples provided by the Ugni Blanc. Great with seafood dishes, garlic chicken or spicy Thai cuisine.
