Dining at JBW's.
We open as a wine bar and restaurant between 6.30pm and 11.00pm on Friday evenings, and between 12.00pm and 4.00pm on Saturday lunchtimes.
Booking is advised for Friday evenings, but not necessary on Saturdays when walk-ins are always welcome.
The style of cooking is small-plates, designed for sharing and arrive as they are prepared by our kitchen. Prices usually vary between £8.00 - £14.00 per plate.
The menu changes weekly and is overseen by our talented chef, Alison Clare, who has a wealth of experience gained in fine-dining kitchens and restaurants. Alison insists that all our ingredients are local (and organic where possible). Vegans, vegetarians and those with food intolerances or other dietary requirements are also well catered for. The wine list changes weekly and is overseen by JBWs proprietor, Charles Hardcastle, who also is an experienced restaurateur. On offer is an excellent selection of wines - many are organic, biodynamic or natural and therefore vegan/vegetarian friendly. Our wines are rarely seen on other lists and prices usually vary between £24.00 - £35.00/bottle.
