Jakes Gin is made by the Chrishall Distillery founded in January 2019 and which is situated less than 6 miles from our retail shop in Saffron Walden. The name is inspired by the family spaniel and indeed the operation is entirely family-run, each small batch being made in a bespoke copper still nicknamed 'Gladys' and all of the 21 different botanicals come from the family garden including Moroccan lemon verbena and Iranian orange flowers. This is a full-flavoured gin with notes of citrus and sweet spices. Try neat over ice or in a classic Negroni cocktail.
