Founded by Bepe Tosolini in the aftermath of the 2nd World War, the Cividina distillery is one of the most prestigious in Italy. It is situated at the foot of the eastern Fiulian hills and is currently run by 3rd generation distiller, Giovanni. Whereas Grappa is an afterthought in many Italian distilleries, the Tosolini family are artisans of Grappa, using only skins of the whole grapes and distilling during the harvest season to retain the freshness of the grapes. Traditional steam stills are used and the liquor is aged in ash barrels. It takes one ton of grape skins to produce 9 litres of this refined and aromatic Grappa. The perfect digestif.

A brilliant crystalline in the glass. The nose is crisp and floral with a touch of citrus oil and almonds. On the palate, soft and vinous with notes of peach and apricot. Best enjoyed neat at room temperature or mixed with coffee.
