Bodegas Pirineos is a leading cooperative situated in Somontano in the foothills of the Pyrenees of northern Spain. The region has developed into a significant force within the Spanish wine industry, with a wide range of wine styles, and is one of the few wine-producing areas of Spain to have adopted a modern approach to wine making. Founded in 1993, there are now 200 skilled viticulturists who contribute to the cooperative and the vineyards are among the oldest in the region. The wines, by turn, are of the highest quality. The 'Montesierra' label has been developed by the co-op to showcase a range of varietals which at the same time represent great value for money. This is a juicy white, packed with tropical fruit flavours making it a great accompaniment to robust fish dishes.
A clear straw-yellow in colour with green hues. On the nose, bright and clean with distinctive tropical fruit aromas and notes of apple and pear. On the palate, fresh and bright with a lip-smacking acidity and elegant finish. Great with Catalan salt cod salad, baked scallops or roasted peppers with honey and almonds.
