The Organic Bodegas Ameztoi is situated in the fishing village of Getaria, deep in the heart of Northern Spain's Basque country. The Ameztoi family have run the estate for seven generations utilizing the indigenous Hondarabbi Zuri and Hondarabbi Beltza grapes to produce light, crisp wines bottled with a little residual carbon dioxide to give the wines their signature natural spritz. This dry and refreshing Rosado is made mainly of the afore-mentioned Hondarrabi Beltza grape and works well with seafood dishes.
A light salmon-pink in colour. On the nose, aromas of summer red fruits, citrus peel and rose petals. On the palate, bone-dry and fresh with further red fruit flavours leading to a short and crisp finish. Brilliant food wine! Try with dressed crab, clams in a salsa verde or gilda ('lollipop') of chilli peppers, black olives and anchovies.
