Cantina Bernardi was founded in 1960 by Mansueto Bernardi. Today the winery is run by his sons, Pierluigi and Adriano aided by their sons - Mansueto's grandsons. The winery is based in the village of Refrontolo among the rolling hills of the 'Prosecco Wine Road' which leads from Valdobbiadene and Conegliano. The vineyards are situated in the heart of the DOCG region of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore and all the grapes are hand-picked. From the vineyards can be seen the symbol of the estate - the ancient mill of Molinetto della Croda in the Lierza Valley. This delightful pink fizz is a blend of 85% Glera and 15% Pinot Noir. It works very well as an aperitif.
A light salmon pink in the glass. Aromas of peach and apricot. On the palate, lively and vivacious with a zippy acidity. The finish is short with a touch of red fruit sweetness. Great with sarda in saor (marinated sardines), risotto with radicchio or grilled trout.
