The 60-hectare Chateau Ollieux Romanis is situated at Monseret (also renowned for its rosemary honey) in the heart of the Boutenac region of the Corbieres and has been in the Bories family since the mid 19th century. The vines are planted on red clay soil and face south east on a sheltered hillside. 'Alba' is a hand-harvested blend of Cinsault and Grenaches Gris and Noir. It is organically made and is unoaked.
A delicate pale salmon in colour. Notes of orange peel and pomegranate on the nose. On the palate, vibrant and fresh with a racy acidity . The finish is short and refreshing. Try with grilled lobster, crab salad or artichoke gratin.
