Chile's Villa Fray Leon is a large winemaking concern that has been operating since 1996. They cultivate over 700 hectares of vineyards within Chile ranging from the Casablanca Valley in the north via the Cachapoal Valley (where the main winery is located) to the Maule Valley in the south. Everything is organic, yields are kept low and quality control is rigorous. This soft and round Pinot Noir comes from the Casablanca Valley and is unoaked.
A bright cherry-red in colour. Aromas of summer red fruits with a touch of mint and earth. On the palate, light and refreshing with a pronounced minerality leading to a clean finish. A succulent and expressive Pinot that represents great value for money. Try with rabbit stew, tortellini with porcini mushroom sauce or crispy duck panckes.
