Jumping Juice is a collaboration between Yarra-based friends, Patrick Sullivan and Xavier Goodridge who have amassed a loyal following for their high-quality, natural wines made from top quality fruit. The winemaking is overseen by natural wine guru, Patrick, a self-confessed producer groupie, who moved to London when he was 19 and gained employment in the wine room at Selfridges before deciding to study winemaking back in Australia. With Jumping Juice Patrick and Xavier are free to explore parcels of fruit from all over the country and this juicy Riesling comes from 40 year old vines grown organically in the Eden Valley.
A pale straw yellow in the glass. Fresh aromas of citrus fruits and honey. On the palate, bone-dry with floral notes and a chalky minerality. Look out for the zippy acidity and mineral backbone. The finish is crisp and cool. Drink with spicy noodles, crispy duck salad or sushi.
